and let God lead us on the battlefield of life

Why does humanity fight so much? We fight a never-ending battle against nature. We burn our rainforests and we melt our icebergs. We pollute our skies with black smoke.

We fight a never-ending battle against each other. We send soldiers to die in battlefields. We send bullets to pierce sons and daughters. We send words of hate over the Internet, behind keyboards, to people who we don’t even know.

Life is already a struggle that rarely ceases. Life has enough hardships on its own. Perhaps the words of Genesis 3:19 best capture the struggle of life:

Man shall work by the sweat of his brow

The world is not an ideal place — it’s far from it. But change can happen. The change will happen if we work for it. 2020 has been a year of hardships, but it has taught us the lessons we needed the most. 2020 has taught us the lesson that we achieve more when we work as one.

The second, and more important, lesson it has taught me is to trust in God always. Whether we are battling hardships, we must work together as one, with God standing alongside us on the battlefield.

When the children of Israel escaped slavery from Egypt, they were still met with another obstacle on their road to freedom: the Red Sea.

Thousands of years later, We are faced with another Red Sea: COVID 19.

We must work together as one and trust the Lord will part this Red Sea.

Please pray for our frontline workers and stay safe.
