People don’t come to a Self-Defense Class

I don’t know why the general public here in the US takes Self Defense for granted. I know a lot of schools are struggling to exist much less make a living at sharing what they know.

Some of the excuses I get I don’t need it It won’t happen to me That is what the police are there for It’s not my responsibility What can I do I don’t have the time I’m not in shape. I’m not healthy I could not hurt anybody. I’m not a victim I’m not vulnerable Not aware I could be attacked I did not start it. I don’t want to think about it It cannot happen to me I won’t be where I need it. You might not have a choice I won’t have anything somebody wants to take. Nobody wants to hurt me. It costs too much It takes too much time What do they know

How can we fix that

Make them aware Give them choices Let them know how valuable it is… even if they never use it. Attackers don’t care if they hurt Attackers would not want you to know how to defend yourself. They want you to be a victim

At least 10 weeks to get the basics can help.
