Your 20s are the time for you to make mistakes — regular mistakes.

Most 20-somethings, including myself, fail to realize there’s a difference between regular mistakes and dumb mistakes.

20-year-olds are conditioned to “take risks” and “go crazy” during that time. But some risks aren’t worth taking.

Here are 20 dumbass mistakes 99% of 20-year-olds will make.

  1. You force yourself to get drunk all of the time to have fun
  2. You buy the fancy new car instead of investing that money into your future
  3. You still hang out with toxic people who suck you dry
  4. You get so horny for a relationship that you start forcing one
  5. You curse your parents out and strain your relationship with them for not treating you like an adult
  6. You make excuses for why your life sucks
  7. You try to hustle your 20s away by working nonstop for 12 hours per day
  8. You sacrifice your own mental health because you feel like you need to fight the political system
  9. You feel like you’ll be skinny forever so you eat unhealthy every day
  10. You feel lost and confused but you don’t want to ask others for help
  11. You take mental health too seriously and you think you need a mental health break every 5 minutes
  12. You invest $20k that you don’t have into bitcoin
  13. You ignore the speed limit and drive recklessly because you haven’t gotten in a car accident yet
  14. You spend hours on social media trying to get yourself “inspired”
  15. You flex on Instagram because you think you need to
  16. You go into restricted areas to see better sights
  17. You get dependent on drugs to de-stress yourself
  18. You never stop and think about how blessed you are
  19. You put having fun over learning
  20. You have no idea how healthy it is to be alone

It’s okay to take risks in your 20s.

But don’t take everything to the extreme to the point where there’s no coming back from it. Make sure you have some sort of mental compass to set you straight.

Follow your intuition and you’ll be okay.

Good luck on your journey.
