2 Practices You Can Do to Maintain Your Health
Changing your health won’t happen overnight. However, you can get a head start.

Health is a topic that most of us take for granted. However, our health is the key to living a long and fulfilling life.
People are always talking about how to be healthy. If you go to a doctor, she always tells you about making healthy choices and staying active.
But, as I found out today, the doctor is not the only one to rely on for this advice.
Research, as focused on the concept of “health”, has brought to light the fact that staying healthy is actually much less about what you do and how much you eat, but much more about how you think and perceive the world.
Using two simple practices, I will explain how all of us can stay healthy.
One: Don’t Focus Only on Calories — But Also on Quality.
I cannot stress this point enough. Remember that calories aren’t the only component of good health, although they are important.
It is important to consume foods of good quality so that you can maintain a healthy and happy life.
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”
According to hsph.harvard.edu, when you consume empty calories, you can gain weight because your body stores fat without consuming nutrition.
Because of this, we should not simply focus on the number of calories consumed, but on the quality of the food.
When I look back, I didn’t care very much about my health. I learned in my later years, that you either live a healthy life or you die a poor one.
I choose to live a healthy life, and that’s what I’m going to stay with — for the rest of the time I have left in this beautiful world.
You should practice healthy eating rather than counting calories alone if you want to maintain your health and happy life.
Two: Become Accustomed to Exercising Daily.
There are many benefits to exercising daily, such as reducing cancer, helping depression, and strengthening your bones and muscles.
Most people, however, aren’t concerned as to what exercise can do for them, whether it’s an improvement in their lives or prevention of disease.
But, taking the time out of your day to actually exercise is actually making you better as a person, because you self discipline yourself to make time for your needs.
Most people don’t because of,
- “I’m too tired”
- “I don’t have the time”
- “I have kids”
- “The gym is too expensive (or too far away)”
But that’s just a bunch of excuses, make time for it — because it’s an important essential for our day-to-day life.
According to the mayo clinic, your muscle strength and endurance can be improved by regular physical activity.
A regular exercise regime will improve your cardiovascular system’s efficiency by delivering oxygen and nutrients to your tissues.
When you gain better heart and lung health, you are more energetic to accomplish your daily tasks.
With that being said put some extra effort into exercising or sit at home and become more crippled to life and yourself.
Final Thoughts
Bettering yourself isn’t something that comes naturally. Most people do not care about the health they maintain — but you should.
I have said that you either live a healthy life or you die a poor one. Don’t spend your time getting worse, instead try to improve.
Work on improving yourself on both a personal and a professional level.
Each of us will die one day, but we can decide whether or not we want to go out knowing that we lived beyond average lives.
