2 Funny Ways to Make More $$$ on Medium

The proof is in the pudding

Life is about to get much better for you if you just follow a few simple ideas and let your creative mind go.

Making money on Medium is clearly not about researched pieces. It could be as simple as coming up with the two ideas or examples I share below.

What do you think about this style of writing?

How do you feel about it?

I set out this morning to write a thoroughly researched story.

Something about genetics.

As a DNA Upgrade specialist, I had recently discussed a few ideas with Dr Mehmet Yildiz and am looking forward to sharing them with you soon.

It’s going to take some time and effort though.

What happened instead is that I consumed some trending articles on my Medium homepage.

I share both examples in this article.

I followed. I commented. I read comments.

I processed.

Subject 1 — Vanessa

This article grabs the readers’ attention.

All writers will want to know what the story is all about, right? It is like saying,

I had the best sushi in town. I have been waiting forever for this!

You write a whole piece on the new sushi place, publish it in the local magazine, have a bunch of sushi fanatics taking their precious Sunday morning to devour the information to get to the name of the restaurant, after all, they want to go eat sushi!

Then nothing.

Back to Vanessa and the 200$ article.

You read it again, just to make sure you didn’t miss the link to the story.

Reading time…mmm.

The plot thickens.

Needless to say, you scan the comments and the replies. Everyone asked for the link to the story…the suspense continues.

…and continues.

Since publishing this story more than a month ago there have been no replies to the now 22 comments.

Here’s the article, I won’t keep you hanging.

Don’t expect to see the title of the story [up until publishing date].

Subject 2 — Joachim Guth

He’s got you catfish!

This writer created much suspense with this title,

“How I stole the idea from an underling — this is how I make a killing on Medium”

This was not a short story.

He is a very skilled storyteller.

I really enjoyed reading the article and gave the bloke a follow. We shared a few sentiments.

He entertained me.

He takes you into the Austrian landscape, including colorful pictures like this one,

Photo by Quaritsch Photography on Unsplash

He takes you to his moment of inspiration, on a journey of creativity as you wait in anticipation to find out what idea he stole and how this is helping him make a killing on Medium.

This information could potentially change your writing experience.

He takes you to his leisurely lifestyle, sipping on a beer as he overlooks the mountains in his backyard, notebook on the lap.

You feel the suspense building.

You read faster.

You start scanning…still nothing.

The suspense continues…

You circle back a few times just in case you missed something.

A-HA MOMENT

Joachim does share the idea he stole,

— he finds poorly written articles that got little traction and he uses the ideas to create entertaining articles.

Yet, at the very bottom of his story, in cursive writing [see screenshot below] he ads this disclaimer.

Now we don’t really know if the idea he shares makes money or not, as he clearly states above that he doesn’t make money, so that part is a bit confusing because it does sound like a sound idea.

Here you can find his article.

CONCLUSION

Why did I decide to write this piece and not the one on genetics?

Well, I spent my Sunday morning reading these two stories mentioned above and I wanted to create some value from them.

⭕ Writing is a creative process and as we are all unique, we ought to respect others’ choices in how they express this creativity.

⭕ Using ‘suspense’ could be incorporated in our writing as it creates more curiosity.

⭕ Engaging with our readers is important and following up on comments even when wanting to omit information could add more value in my opinion.

⭕ Entertainment is always a winner.

⭕ Follow your highest excitement, no matter what form it takes!

⭕ What is meant for you can never be kept from you.

Thanks for reading, appreciate you taking the time!

Gratitude to all supporters, today I send positive energy to Ray Binkowski B.R. Shenoy NextOnly Jared Bouchard
