15 Most Exciting Upcoming Video Games
We’ve got a lot on our table in 2023 and beyond! So buckle up and let’s take a look at 15 upcoming games that’ll keep you excited throughout the whole year!
1. Blight Survival:
This is an action-horror game, with the action taking place in a medieval setting. You’ll be able to play it co-op with up to 3 of your friends.
Sounds pretty basic so far, but here’s the catch: this is by no means a survival game. I’ve already mentioned that Blight Survival is an action-horror game, but it is also a rogue-lite!
If that sounds intriguing to you, then buckle up! You will be able to play Blight Survival only on PC, though!
2. Crysis 4:
Yes, Crysis is coming back! Here we go again buying NASA PCs just to run the game, right?
Well, this iteration of Crysis might just run a little bit smoother, given that it is built on the newest version of the Crytek engine!
What more do I have to say? It’s Crysis and it’s back! That’s all you need to know!
3. Greedfall 2: The Dying World:
If you enjoyed the first Greedfall, then this one’s for you!
Admittedly, its predecessor was a bit divisive, due to its political implications, commentary and satire. So who knows what the newest game in the series has to offer?
Greedfall 2 is actually a prequel, taking place 3 years before the events of the first game!
4. Starwars Jedi: Survivor:
Another sequel to a beloved game, Starwars Jedi: Survivor sets out to achieve the heights of its predecessor and then surpass it!
We’re looking forward to improvements in almost all departments, from graphics to character customization and all the way to combat mechanics!
I personally enjoyed the first game, Starwars Jedi: Fallen Order, and with the prospect of a sequel, I will be replaying it for sure!
5. Assassin’s Creed Mirage:
YES! The Assassin’s Creed series is finally going back to its roots! Thank you, Ubisoft; I’ve been rambling about something like this for years now!
Don’t worry, the new-style Assassin’s Creed RPGs aren’t going anywhere! From now on, we’ll be getting the best of both worlds. So there’s an Assassin’s Creed for everyone!

6. Horizon Call of the Mountain:
We all know and love the Horizon games, that’s a given! But have you ever thought to yourself “Maaaan, I wish there was a VR Horizon game, with new characters, stories and mechanics!”?
Well, in case you have indeed thought about that, your wait is over! Well, almost over, you still need to wait for Horizon Call of the Mountain to come out!
7. Aliens: Dark Descent:
A real-time strategy game paired with the Aliens franchise?! Now this got my attention immediately!
Set to release in 2023, RTS fans definitely have something exciting to look forward to this year!
8. The Witcher Remake:
Yes, you heard that right! And no, I’m not insane! The original Witcher game is getting a remake. Not a remaster, but a full remake!
Not a lot of people played the first Witcher, so a remake would get a lot of people into that story!
The game will receive significant changes, however. It will go from a level-based, linear game to a full-on open-world game, just like The Witcher 3!
I don’t know about you, but I’ll be all over this game when it comes out!
9. Death Stranding 2:
Oh, yes! Kojima blessed us with a fantastic announcement that Death Stranding 2 is coming!
I’ve played the first Death Stranding for over 100 hours and still don’t know the full extent of that story! So, naturally, I’m excited for more unintelligible storylines from the master himself, Hideo Kojima!
10. Resident Evil 4 Remake:
If you’ve been paying attention to what Capcom was doing these past few years, then you already knew this one was coming!
They started remaking the Resident Evil games a couple of years ago and they show no sign of slowing down!
The next one: Resident Evil 4! With this game especially, I think nostalgia’s going to play an important role in how we perceive it.
By the way, this is set to come out March 24th 2023, so that’s really soon! Get ready for it!
11. Like a Dragon 8:
If you don’t know, “Like a Dragon” is the new name for the entire Yakuza series.
The 8th installment will most likely come out in 2024 and will resemble the 7th one in terms of gameplay. It also continues the story of its predecessor.
12. Hades 2:
We all knew this had to be coming at some point, right? With Hades being a huge financial success, it was only a matter of time until Hades 2 hit the shelves!
From all I could gather, this will be more of the same. But with the first game being so awesome, more of the same is not a bad thing at all!
13. Amnesia: The Bunker:
We’ve all played, or at least heard about, Amnesia! The series was way ahead of its time when the original game came out in 2010.
With Amnesia: The Bunker, the series goes to World War 1 and takes place inside a, well, a bunker! And, yes, there will be weapons in Amnesia now! Is that a good thing for the series or a bad one? I don’t know… What do you think? Make sure to let me know about that as well!
14. Forza Motorsport:
There isn’t much information on this one, except that it will be the next installment in the Forza Motorsport series.
However, you might have noticed there is no number after the name… What could that mean? Could we be in for a disappointing games-as-a-service experience?
If this wasn’t such a high-profile franchise, I’d think that. But with Forza, the disappointment would be too huge to bear. I’m staying cautiously optimistic for this one!
15. Silent Hill F:
Silent Hill is officially coming back and I’m all in for it! This is not a remake or a remaster, but a completely new game! And a very different one at that!
This game is set in rural Japan in the 1960s! I know what you’re thinking: “Wait a minute! How is that Silent Hill?”
It’s a big departure for the series, I know, but innovation is good! So let’s see what they’ve got under the sleeve for Silent Hill F!
