“Do not compete with anyone in the race of life. Compete with yourself.”

― Lailah Gifty Akita

Experimenting with a daily routine is something I love to do. It is like doing a science experiment in my home.

This morning I rediscovered a handy trick for accomplishing more in less time. Since yesterday, two baskets of clean laundry languished in the hallway. Setting a time for 15-minutes worked its magic in no time.

Suddenly, everything appeared on hangers and out of sight. Meanwhile, I chatted with my son about Valentine’s day plans.

My sense of joy rests on having things tidy. I gained momentum this morning and now have more than enough time for my creative work without chores lurking in the shadows.

I invite you to race yourself and see what magic happens!
