14 Days Writing On Medium. What I Have Earned And Why I Keep Going
Start taking notes. Real case study!
I joined Medium in April 2022. In this story, I will share my experience with you. Let’s see what happened during my first 14 days of writing.
Well…
I published my first story the 17th, April 2022.
After 14 days of writing consistently on Medium.
No big bang.
No articles that made $10.000.
But I succeeded in getting 100 followers in 6 days of writing.
Without using #100followers or #100followerschallenge tags.
Then, I joined the Partner Program the 24th, April 2022.
A week later… Here I am.
I earned $0,88 from the Medium Partner Program.
I hear you… only $0,88!
Don’t let the noise clutter your mind.
Change your perspective.
See the big picture.
Focus on the positive.
I’ll tell you what I see when I write:
- A great way to deliver value to my readers.
- All the people I can help in their entrepreneurial journey.
- The continuous growth of my audience (189 followers today).
- An effective method to increase my brand visibility.
- The joy of writing stories, sharing my experience, and getting feedback.
- Long-term results I can drive for my business.
- Amazing future collaborations with other entrepreneurs.
… And also,
- Understanding my readers better.
- Discovering and reading other writers' stories.
- Learning from other professionals.
- Meeting like-minded people from different backgrounds.
- Increasing my English vocabulary.
- Constant improvement of my writing.
- Increasing my cognitive ability.
- Maintaining high motivation.

This will depend on your niche, your experience as a writer, and many other factors.
You’re capable, but you need to put in the work.
No magic pills.
No secret formula.
… Sorry
Discipline… discipline… discipline
I could write another line of “discipline” because it’s key.
Don’t give up because of a number in your Partner Program dashboard.
Don’t let your mind mess up with your goals.
Don’t give up.
Believe in yourself.
And stay focused…
You never know how close you are to blowing up.
Think about how many people you could impact with your writing.
Remember your why and enjoy the journey.
A few years ago, I didn’t speak more than 3 words of English.
Yes really.
That’s my challenge.
Every day I push the limits.
I write, speak and work in English, despite the difficulties.
I never complain.
Stop focusing on your Medium stats.
There are things more important than this.

Stay focused on the big picture.
Be confident in your abilities.
Take action.
Submit your work to publications.
Write stories day after day.
Everything will fall in place if you stay long enough in the game.
