13 Titles Made Me Go “I’m Reading It”

I read 100 titles on the Pub today and I picked 13 of them

Would you like to read them with me?

Image By Martin Péchy From Pexels

Don't worry, just the title.

Headlines are the only thing we care about when deciding if we are going to read it or not.

Is that true?

The image does help, the tag supports a topic and the pub gives a broad idea or a range.

If you like me, sometimes scroll and read most likely you’ll find something to read fairly quickly within a few scrolls.

Have you tried to relook at what you read in the first place? I mean did you know what you chose to open up that title?

We the readers are just another person, so we read the title first and it could be 50% if not more in determining whether we open the post or not.

This list is not in any order, just what catches my eye while scrolling the pub’s stats section.

Just in case you did like to see what it looks like on the back end of a pub.

Now The List: (note these are not performance base, just interest, some I read and some I haven’t)

I’ll give the title, then a line of thoughts and who wrote it, enjoy and hope theres something you got out of this.

Title 1:

Don’t kill writers read ratio, please stay for at least 30 seconds.

Yes, you read it right, that is the title of the post. (One of Daniel T.’s earlier methods)

An article from Daniel Usama.

Title 2:

How to Find Your Unique Voice as a Writer

Relatable to all writers.

An article from Stanley Udegbunam

Title 3:

Strange 0 Views and Reads today — Medium shadow ban??

This is what happened today and will be catchy for readers who pay attention.

An article from Girish Babu (Entrepreneur, Advisor, Exec, MBA)

Title 4:

An Experiment To Crack The Code Of Medium’s Mysterious Algorithm

As always Lea loves to experiment and pick up a match with the algo. If that is also your thing, you can try topics around it too.

An article from Lea Bardot

Title 5:

I Never Thought I Would Agree With Ben Shapiro Until This Happened…

Using a well-known person in the title itself does bring some extra attention and adding keywords like never and this happened, makes it even more interesting.

An article from Cindy Steinberg (she/her)

Title 6:

Are You a How-to-preneur or an Idea-preneur?

Questioning the reader/writer with a common question is sure a way to get traction.

An article from Danny Wolf

Title 7:

A New Dynamic On Medium

A statement of marking shift, which is very relevant today base on what happened during March.

An article from Jason Gosseck

Title 8:

How to get more reads on Medium.

Very standard/basic title but it does get the job done, once in a while trying this might do well.

An article from Cheery Adedunmola 😍

Title 9:

How Do You Want To Spend 86,000 Hours of Your Life?

How, numbers, time, and life. A good combo if put in context.

An article from Koba Writes

Title 10:

How I Went From 0 to $3000 a Month in Three Months by Writing Online

Another How, numbers in dollars, time, and writing. A more diverse mix than the one above.

An article from Tim J. Schroeder

Title 11:

Should You Sleep For 8 Hours A Day?

A question about sleeping hours. We all would ask such questions.

An article from Deborah Aduola

Title 12:

I Feel Burnout — I Don’t Feel Like Writing Today

Don’t everyone want to do that? Seems like a good title to me.

An article from Ted Strauch

Title 13:

Things to do with Bananas

Simple and straight to the point with an embedded question. What can we do with bananas? A common thing that we can all relate to.

An article from Flora

As you can see I was learning while writing this post as well.

A little bit about myself and what works better than others.

Thanks for Reading
