Proof that there’s an audience for everything

I was listening to this podcast yesterday when I came across this amazing creator, Kat Norton who grew her social following to millions and is making up to $100K/month some months with her Microsoft Excel tips!

Here’s what I learned…

Strike when the iron is hot and monetize your skillset

She got started during the right time, around summertime 2020 when the pandemic was in the first few months in the U.S.

People were starting to see that working from home was going to be a reality for the near future and schools were trying to transition to an online environment for their students.

It was a time when sharpening your computer skills was very much needed.

She took a skill she knew well, MS Excel and taught her knowledge to the masses online.

On Tik Tok, she started seeing virality from her videos from the start.

At the time, that space was undeveloped on Tik Tok and she was a pioneer in the industry, getting the attention of Tik Tokers including a company that reached out to her to create content for them!

She attracted people to her with her teaching style and today, she sits at over a million followers combined on her social media.

There’s an audience for everything

Microsoft Excel tips? Really?

It’s a niche you probably wouldn’t think would do crazy well on social media but, there’s literally an audience for almost anything online.

Here are some other interesting niches I’ve come across online recently:

• Founder stories
• After work vlogs (what you do at home)
• Day in the life of a Whole Foods Market baker
• Canva tricks
• Outer space

If you’re passionate about a topic, monetize that skill

Curious about starting another income stream but don’t know where to start?

Start with your passion, your skillset, and your interests.

Take what you like and take it to social media, like Tik Tok, YouTube, Instagram, etc., and create content.

You can attract an audience interested in what you do, grow your fanbase, and create a platform for yourself. All this can lead to an additional income stream.

I created a social media account that helped people in a specific niche and quickly grew my following to over 60K followers in under a year. Now that account makes $5K to $7K per month! Just that one account!
