Why I write poetry
This is a question that I ask myself Daily. And I never have a straightforward answer for myself. There is one thing that is constant though, I write poetry.
I can sum up why I write poetry into three answers. I love poetry. I write and speak poetically. I express my thoughts best through poetic parables.
Poetry flows the easiest with me. I can get my most dynamic thoughts out poetically. It's not the only form in which I communicate, but it is my most efficient me.
Therefore, I choose to write poetry, and I write it frequently. I write poetry because It makes me feel at home. It is an outlet for all of my trauma, my love, my life, my growth.
