100 STORIES On Medium! How Much I EARNED $$$?
So this was my first story on Medium,
ironically it was also my first to get decent views. Let me take you through my first four months on this platform.
Back then, I wasn’t taking it too seriously. I uploaded around 10 stories and then promptly forgot about them.
But, 4 months later, one of my stories unexpectedly blew up. Yes, it was my first one, and mind you, none of my stories have ever been boosted by Medium.
Steady Progress, with a Twist
The next month wasn’t too stellar, but in November, I somehow managed to get enrolled in the Medium Partner Program, even though it’s not available in my country. (There’s a sad ending to this, by the way.)
November proved to be a promising month, with one of my stories going semi-viral. My earnings were measured for only the last two days of November, as that’s when I got enrolled into the MPP.
December was the most consistent one yet, but since then, it’s all been going downhill.
March has been the worst compared to the last four months, though there are still plenty of days left for a story to catch fire.
The Sad Ending (or Is It?)
Now, here’s the sad ending I was alluding to: In total, I have earned $656.94 in less than four months of being part of the Medium Partner Program.
And I have got $0 from them (got $0 in my bank account from Medium). As you can see from this screenshot, maybe I’ll get this money into my bank account someday, but I don’t think it’s happening.

Future Plans and Reflections
So far it’s been like 11 months on this platform, and 4 serious months, I don’t have any particular plans on Medium for the future, but recently, I’ve been trying to go for quantity over quality, by reducing reading time and increasing the number of stories.
This month (with 24 days in), I have uploaded 35 stories so far. Even if one of them goes semi-viral, I’ll be happy, although I won’t get any money from them. :(
So yeah, that was my story — a rollercoaster ride of hopes, disappointments, and valuable lessons learned along the way.
