100 Followers in 30 Days: My Journey and What I Learned
5 tips that helped me succeed

Almost 29 days ago, I set out on a challenge to gain 100 followers on Medium in 30 days. I am happy to say that I was successful in this challenge, and I could not have done it without the support of my readers. Thank you so much for supporting my content! I will continue to produce great content for you to read in the days, months, and years to come.
To My Followers: Thank you
After only joining the writing fully invested 30 days ago, I have been welcomed to this platform by some of the greatest people on this earth. You all are what makes Medium a great place to write, I welcome all feedback from everyone, cause I know that is what will make me better and that is what I have gotten from all of you.
Thank you so much for the support and I hope not to disappoint you or the others that will be following me as I sit out on another 30-day challenge.
To My Wife and kids: Thank you for the support
You all have believed in me and my writing ability, you gave me the time to follow my dream of becoming a writer and helping others as I love to do. I have committed to 20 hours of writing each week on top of my 40 hour day job and thank you for giving me this time. It’s helping me find myself and fight my depression, it’s helping me see that my words and voice matter.
I believe in finding one’s passion will help you become a better person and I hope that is what my writing is doing for my family. Thank you again for your continued support.
What I learned in the last 29 days…
5 tips that helped me succeed
- Dedication — dedicating the writing time every day of every week no matter how you feel.
- Support — We all need support from family or friends, this support helped me to continue my journey and I think it will continue to push me in the future.
- Consistency is Key — As on most social channels, it works the same here with Medium, you have to have consistency on your post. If you can’t do everyday publishing, then I would recommend at least 3 days per week.
- Write about what you know — Some people say you can write about whatever you feel on any given day, but writing about something you know will save you time in your writing. It will give you the confidence to carry on day after day and when you write about something you don’t know, you have to do more research.
- Have Patience — This is very important, after about 14 days of writing, I didn’t see that much traction, and if I would have given up then. I would not be where I’m at now. Give it time and remember you are competing with a lot of good writers, with time and experience you will succeed.

Closing Thoughts
When I got the email this morning that I was accepted in the partner program, it made me feel accomplished, I know that it’s not that big of a win. But, it’s a small step on a big dream of mine and that is why I feel the accomplishment that I do today.
As I have said in the past, I write to help others and that is why I created High Five Success. I want to help others become better people by finding their passion, by finding side hustles that will help them achieve success in life, and by teaching them how they can get better through tricks or tools(affiliate link) that I test in my case studies. I am also noticing that I love to write about the history of Entrepreneurs before us and how they can help us become better.
Thank you for reading and being a part of my journey, I hope you all find this inspirational, especially new writers. If you like this or anything that I’m writing about, please FOLLOW me.
