CHALLENGE/PHOTOGRAPHY
10-Words-Stories For 10 Pics
Photos freeze moments and give us chances to look back
Amanda Laughtland once tagged me to join Ten Word Story Challenge. I responded to her with a 1-minute story.
But the fun never ends!
Recently I found out that this challenge has been upgraded to a 10-word story for 10 pictures.
🌸At first, Dr. Preeti Singh’s new ten-word picture stories caught my eye.
🌸Then Michele Maize conquered me completely with her 10 photos from a unique perspective.
🌸When I read the story and saw the life-filled photos by Jennifer Barrios Tettay, I was inspired.
Here👇are my 10 selected photos from my album and their stories:
1️⃣ I’m so cute 🥰! Don’t you want to take me home?

I took this photo when I was on the way to meet my colleague. Someone was selling a kitty at the intersection. Many passersby couldn’t help but stop and stroke him.
What a petite and adorable kitty! 🐱
2️⃣ I can never get enough of bamboo. Give me more! 🤤😍😍

In July 2019, my son and I visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It was midsummer, hot and humid. I felt so sorry for pandas who have to wear thick coats all the time.
Fortunately, the base is shaded by lots of trees, and the temperature is Okay. Pandas seemed to enjoy their living.
3️⃣ Why are you taking pictures of me? Am I pretty? 🤨

A cliché about Switzerland is the image of cows resting in the grass on any sunny afternoon.
But the cliché is true! When I met her, I just wandered by the side of the road unintentionally. . .
4️⃣ Thank you for staying on the trail! We appreciate it! 🙏

In Switzerland, forests are everywhere. This is at the entrance to the forest. A sign is reminding people not to trespass in the forest, which is the kingdom of wildlife.
5️⃣ Thanks for watering me! It feels great to be alive!😀

One day, I was passing the bookshelf at home and suddenly felt that someone was watching me. When I looked up, I saw her.
Oh, it turned out to be the lotus seedpod sent by a colleague a few days ago. She had her head down then, and now she is finally looking up. So cool 😎!
6️⃣ Honey, please remember, do not pick wildflowers by the roadside!

Whenever I see beautiful wildflowers on the side of the road, the following song by Taiwan singer Teresa Teng pops into my head:
When I said goodbye to you outside the village,
I have something to say
Although the flowers have bloomed,
Don’t pick wildflowers by the roadside!
Remember my love!
Remember I wait every day
I will wait for you to come back
Don’t forget me!
7️⃣ They’re not roadside wildflowers, but commodities waiting to be sold

When we took a stroll in a Swiss town after dinner, we saw a closed supermarket still brightly lit. Flowers and other merchandise were lined outside the door. There is neither video surveillance nor security personnel.
I can’t help but wonder, aren’t they afraid of these things being stolen?
8️⃣ When did gas prices get so low? Long long ago …

168.9? am I right? This is a gas station near my home in Vancouver. I took this photo earlier this year, before the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Today the gas price is 227.9! 😱
Two worlds, like day and night!
9️⃣ Although it says “car”, please don’t park your car here!

But in Switzerland, the British “coach” and the American “bus” are called “CAR”. 🤣🤣🤣
🔟 Been to many Starbucks but never seen one this big 🤩🧐🤓

Huge windows, so many tables, and an unbeatable bar… I’m confused. Is this still the Starbucks I’m familiar with? 😉
