10-Word Story Challenge

It’s My Turn Now

Ben Ulansey tagged me to participate in this challenge. 🤍

My inspiration was old poems that I once wrote in German.

I have taken individual lines and slightly modified them so that they can stand alone and meet the criteria of 10 words.

So, here we go!

1. Doubts. Doubts? I don’t feel any. Tireless, my shadows hurry.
2. White night, my heart dies lonely… enslaved by my breathlessness.
3. Immortal heart brightened by life, the mortal body crumbles to dust.
4. So gray and heavy — doom! — my own sea of shadows.
5. Not fearless but very tired, you gave me your suffering.
6. Silent goodbye, saw it coming. Saw THEM coming, loud nearby.
7. Soon it was our funeral night, my lonely, tired hero.
