10 Unique Places For A Nice Evening In Istanbul
Cafes, Restaurants, Chill Places, Interesting Avenues in Kadıköy

Istanbul is one of the most magical cities in the world, especially with its power to fuse so many cultures. The cuisine, music, art, and traditions of many continents just unite in one place. However, without so much knowledge of the possibilities of Istanbul, one can fall into the trap of following the traditional tourist guide. While it might show you the most touristic places in Istanbul, it’s not going to provide the full experience of actually living in Istanbul.
I have been living in this city for 11 months, and every day I’m finding new places to go to and discover. Istanbul also is full of activities for day and night life. Music concerts, dance activities, cultural events, and so many more add life to this amazing city.
In this article, I’ll give you a glance at the amazing places that you can visit in each region of Istanbul. All of them I have experienced myself and can give you direct feedback for them.
What can you do in Kadıköy?
Kadıköy is a vibrant district on the Asian Anadolian side of Istanbul, and it’s just a captivating blend of tradition and modernity. Being next to the shores of the Bosphorus, Kadıköy offers a unique perspective of Istanbul. The streets bustle day and night and it’s always full of tourists.
I have been living in Kadıköy for 3 months and I can confidently say it feels like home. It’s full of cafes, restaurants, and amazing sights. The city gives the vibe of a Turkish community, being so full of modern Turkish restaurants and European desserts and cafes.
1. Teras Cafe
Teras Cafe is one of the cheapest and most suitable cafes in Kadikoy to have a hangout with friends. I have chosen this place to organize my birthday, in which over 18 people have joined. The staff were so gentle and quick.
When I arrived to book the place a few days before the birthday, they even told me that it’s not necessary to make a reservation. I was surprised when I asked them on the birthday to make the tables, and over 5 waiters started joining the tables and made sure to give us a nice time.
It’s also full of nice desserts and drinks, such as tea, coffee, milkshakes, and other exotic offers.
2. Salt Fried Chicken
This restaurant has so many memories with me. The first restaurant that I loved their chicken burgers. They provide a good menu of high quality chicken burgers and wings.
The restaurant’s location in the heart of kadikoy makes it more attractive, but at the same time it’s almost always full and you might need to wait at least 20 minutes in the queue. In recent times, with the inflation of the Turkish Lira, the restaurant has raised to higher prices but nonetheless it’s worth it for the trial at least once.
Here’s a picture of the burger.

3. Kostebek
This place is perfect for finding a gift for anyone. It’s full of socks, accessories, anime style clothes, card games, and other interesting gift stores.
As a matter of fact, Kadikoy is so full of gift shops that you can almost see them everywhere. I love this one specifically because of its high quality products and mild price products.
I have personally bought from it my gifts for a friend during christmas. I have chosen a unique pair of socks for his favorite sports character and a cup featuring his favorite cartoon Rick and Morty.
4. Dali Burger Kadikoy
By far the best burger that I have eaten in Istanbul; the bread is just so crunchy, the meat and the sauce is perfect. If you order potatoes alongside it as well, it’s gonna add so much to the experience.
In fact, this place was the first burger place that I tried in Istanbul. I have visited it with 3 of my friends in the first week of being here, and until now it brings such good food and good memories.

5. EasyWork Kadıköy
Have you ever wanted a really serene place for just focusing on work for the entire day? This cafe is just for you. Its advantage over the nearby Starbucks and Espresso lab cafes is that it’s not as crowded. You can basically stay here the whole day working and you’ll not be bothered by noise or people chatting.
I discovered this place with a friend when we both wanted to study but couldn’t find a quieter place than the university’s library. That’s when we decided to give this place a change and it didn’t disappoint us. The coffee tasted delicious, the wifi was fast, the place was calm, and on top of that the restroom was clean and convenient.
6. Pilav House
We call it the protein house because it’s full of protein! Pilav House is one of the best places to make your stomach so full, like a really good dinner after starving for the whole day for example. I used to come here with my friends at night to end a nice day with a good dinner.
I recommend you try the kori chicken sauce mixed with Salad. It’s a really delicious place and I would recommend it any day of the week.
7. Say Cheese
This is one of the cheapest and most famous places for having amazing Italian pasta. You can include any toppings you want, my favorite is with meatballs.
Usually this place is so crowded, but that depends on when you visit it. Also, you have the option of taking the pasta with you in the piece of cartoon they serve it in and eat it alongside the kadikoy shore.
I have visited this place on multiple occasions, and I can assure you it has some of the best quality meals. Here are the pictures I took of it.

8. Atlantis Fun City Kadıköy (Atlantis Bowling)
This one is a place for entertainment. It’s full of bowling activities, pool, arcade, and karaoke. I have usually come here with friends for either of these activities and it never disappoints. It was always an enjoyable experience, although it might come a bit costly. However, the experience is definitely worth it.
Here are a few pictures of the place :-

9. Sopung Kore Kadıköy
If you are an asian food lover, this place is just for you. In Sopung Kore, they serve the most amazing Korean food, including several noodle dishes and Korean chicken. I personally tried this place and it was definitely a good experience.
10. Gazhane Museum
Without any competition, it is one of the best places in all of Istanbul for weekly engaging and fun activities. This place, as a result of being funded by the Municipality of Istanbul, provides free activities in Dance, Stand Up Comedy, Museums to visit and appreciate, and it includes multiple cafes and a library inside.
It’s one of the best places to take your friends or girl on a date. I have personally tried the dance activity and it was magical. One night, I learned the basics of Tango dances and had a chance to practice it.
I definitely recommend it!

Enjoy your summer in Istanbul, have fun, and if you like, share your experiences with us in the comment section.
