Don't get me wrong. I love writing and would do this for free. But when I hear people making more money doing these online side hustles, I can’t help but feel a little envy.

With little effort, I wonder if I could make some extra cash doing the same side hustle ideas?

I have been sharing my NFT art on Twitter, and I usually follow anyone who likes and retweet my art.

And when this account liked my NFT art, it sent me into the rabbit hole of unique side hustle ideas that make more money than writing.

Online side hustles, anyone?

1. Sell Your Worn Panties

In this article from VICE, someone paid £550 for one panty.

I won't judge people with their sexual fantasies, and I have heard this before, but I never thought this could be a full-time side hustle.

On this website, the price range is from $25-$50, not bad considering most of us who write at home have many worn undergarments lying around our bedroom.

2. A TikToker made $200,000 farting in jars

Her name is Stephanie Matto.

She made over $200,000 selling fart in a jar. Unfortunately, she was making too much money that she could only keep up with the demand by eating more cabbage and protein shakes.

But when she did end up in the ER, she thought she had a heart attack. Luckily it was all gas. She has since moved to sell digital farts through an NFT collection.

Someone even suggests that she try selling queef jar. I will leave you to Google that one.

Ok, Different strokes for different folks. As long as someone is buying, there will always be someone selling.

I don't know what I will end up with this month as a writer. Every day I try to finish at least one story.

While I enjoy the process, I worry that soon I have to start looking for a regular job and make writing a side project a passion project unless the Universe decides that money will start flowing into my pockets.

Update: The Universe heard me calling, I already made $200 so far in April 2022.

Because I find joy in writing, but with very little money month after month, making less than $100 doesn't make writing the best way to make money online.

But after reading all the money others make from these unique side hustle ideas but rather bizarre ideas. I want to try something new.

I'm not about to quit writing.

I have seen writers making money from writing true crime stories or their most intimate sexual fantasies. Good for them.

I have tried it, but even those stories didn't get me, readers.

There are writers here who hustle by selling writing courses.

I won't say much except that sometimes it feels that they are selling courses because they know how hard it is to make money from writing.

I started to sell NFT art on Opensea, and I have sold two pieces, but I only made $10 that I have reinvested by starting my NFT collection.

I still believe that I will soon have the financial freedom I dream of. But, like many writers, I can only keep my dream alive by continuing what I love — writing.
