10 Ridiculous Questions & Answers!
Writing Challenge Response

I read Adrian CDTPPW’s answers to these 10 Ridiculous Questions a while back (like way back — these questions have been sitting here for me to answer for weeks! So I apologise if I’ve lost track of the original stories.), and I decided to answer these as well. It was originally a writing prompt by Linda Ng.
So here goes…
[1] After using something around the house, do you put it back immediately after use or leave it lying around?
PARA! (Pronounced: para.) Put Away Right Away! I grew up with ADHD, so my mom taught me that trick. It was our acronym and sing-song, like for many other things, to remember to put things away as soon as I was done with them.
As an adult, do I still apply PARA to my everyday life? Well, when my step-kids were younger it was crucial that we ALL followed the PARA rule, but these days, well let’s just say that some things get put away right away, and others tend to lie around for a few days… like clean folded laundry, or clean dishes, and papers, “des paperasses”, etc.
[2] Do you squeeze toothpaste from the end or the middle?
/insert squeeze sound
Uhm, from the upper-middle, closer to the top. But then once it begins to be emptier, I gotta push all that’s closer to the bottom towards the top, so I can then squeeze the top-mid again.

[3] The million-dollar question: Do you peel a banana from the handle or the bottom?
I don’t eat bananas. I’m allergic to bananas. Isn’t that bananas? Next!
[4] Do you leave dishes in the sink overnight?
Hell yeah! I mean, I do my best to get as much done as possible, but your girl does have adrenal fatigue, energy reserves are limited some days. This is why sometimes, dishes pile up.
[5] Your best subject in school?
Recess?🤣Okay, okay… I was good at English class because it was second-language English in a French school (here in Quebec). For some reason, I aced trigonometry.
My high school would do little merit things, Meritas — handing out pieces of paper that said subjects you were better at than everyone else (like that above-average few), had made a tremendous effort in, or were improving greatly at. Typically, I got one for English class.

[6] How many instruments can you play?
At the same time? None, I only have two hands and two feet.
I play the piano (since I was 6 years old). I can sort of, kind of, play some guitar, but, like, not really, but some riffs and parts of songs kind of okay. And… I’m a drummer. I need to get myself a drum set, the old one now belongs to someone else. I miss it. I was good at it. Drums and percussions.
Sometimes, we’d do improv sessions for rhythms and beats. Those were the days. I played for like, 10 years. I might need a bit of practice for some songs that are faster, but I still know many beats by heart and can drum along when listening to the tracks.
[7] Yes or no to music?
Yes. I mean, I wonder what we’re saying yes to, but seeing as I love listening to and playing music, then of course it’s yes.
[8] Salty or sweet?
Definitely more salty than sweet, though it depends on the time of year. And I have reduced significantly my salt intake to the point where others are adding salt and I’m saying, “Still too salty.” Don’t worry, I’m not salty about that, because I’m just so sweet like that. (Please bear with me.)

[9] Introvert or extrovert?
Introvert. I used to believe I was extroverted because I grew up in an environment where I sort of had to be, but I recognise all the signs of being an introvert from early childhood. I have embraced it now. Though for a time it was half and half.
[10] Favorite fruit?
See, this is a tricky one. Tropical fruit? Mango and Lychee. Berry? Raspberries.
But my go-to fruit is green grapes (the red ones give me migraines because of the natural sulfites). Whenever I’m feeling hypoglycemic, or for whatever reason I have a tummy ache or feel queezy: grapes. Snack in the afternoon: grapes. The first thing I add to my cart when I order groceries: Grapes.
So now I send the question off to you: What are your answers to these silly questions? You can answer in a story, or in the comments. Feel free to tag me if you’d like, I’ll be happy to read your answers and give you some of that good ol’ engagement.😁
🌿If you fancy it, you can tip me with tisane on Ko-fi. ☕🌺😊
