10 REASONS TO INNOVATE

Don't worry. It is perfectly normal to wonder whether innovation is really required in one’s life and as to why you need to even bother innovating. I jotted down some of the reasons for the same

1. Be a game-changer — Stand out and make a name for yourself in this competitive world. It is definitely worthwhile to make a name for yourself with your uncompelling idea, which in a way adds to your purpose in life.

2. Create an impact on the world — There is no disputing the fact that the world could be a better place and someone has to take charge and lead, instead of complaining and blaming.

3. Solve people's problems — to make people's lives easier by studying the challenges they are facing and solving them. The idea could make a difference to 10 lives or a billion, it doesn’t matter but the need of the hour is to give back to the community

4. Inspire others to innovate — share your ideas, stories, journey with others, and act as a springboard to them to come up with their own ideas and make a mark in this world. It helps you to start off a positive chain reaction, which could touch and change more lives. Seems more selfless right?

5. To keep your mind sharp — for personal growth; to unleash your creative genius and keep your mind and body healthy. When it comes to innovation, age is just a number and it is imperative for us to think young, stay active at all ages.

6. To keep up with technology — It is needless to say that technology has penetrated every aspect of our life. For ex: one cannot invent a room-sized computer now and sell it to people who live in the 21st century. Hence it is crucial to catch up and base yourself on the latest advances in technology.

7. Create new markets — carve out a niche for yourself and take the road which has never been traveled before. Who knows you might start a trend, which can become viral and spiral across the world!

8. Adapting to a continuously evolving environment — to stay relevant in this rapidly evolving world. The environment could be local or global but there is no countering the reality, that the status quo has to be challenged and changed.

9. To add some order to the chaos — Today's world is fueled by a complex set of algorithms, everything is interconnected and entangled somewhat like spaghetti. Some ideas can simply help the world be better organised, which is more beneficial for the body and the soul.

10. Of course, for a bag of money — Whatever we do, we expect some kind of return, mostly in the form of money. More money means a better standard of life. Some innovations could also win you more people, which means better quality of social life. Either way, it is a win-win
