Parents have to be the people who teach their children basic principles associated with having good manners as well as treating others with dignity and respect.

5. Get to know and understand other people. Always try to picture yourself as them. That is what empathy is.
6. Never ridicule or humiliate others. Treat people the way you want to be treated.
7. Stand up for what is right.
8. If someone is thirsty give them a drink. If someone is hungry give them food to eat.
9. Be kind to others and always do good deeds.
10. Always strive to be your best. Win with humility and lose with pride.

Conclusion

Civility must be taught in the home. When it is, children grow to become adults who always display a positive disposition. There is nothing elaborate about a parent teaching their child decency. If guided by the desire to position their children on the path that leads to self-decency, a parent is able to teach them these things.
