The brain is the most complex organ in the human body and probably the most complex formation present in this universe. The wonders created by the most perfect human being in the world are the result of the human brain, and this result is the most important characteristic that makes a person amazing.

The complexity of the human brain serves as a repository that safely stores the memories one loves. Although the character of a person is most influenced by the brain, the human mind, which gives the person curiosity, movement and emotion, creates the character of the person. The brain, a command centre for the central nervous system, offers people plenty of physical and mental abilities. These are the few important roles the human brain performs, but the most interesting thing about the human brain is that having a fully functioning brain is little known to many people.

1. The human brain is the only organ in the human body that lacks nerves, although it serves as the central command of the central nervous system. This simply means that the human brain does not feel pain.

2. The human brain consumes the largest portion of the total energy produced in the human body. Although not certain, the brain consumes 20 per cent of that energy, even though it accounts for only 2 per cent of total body weight. Energy is vital to maintaining healthy brain cells and nurturing nerve signals.

3. The number of neurons present in the brain is 15 times the total human population on earth, which is about 100 billion. These large numbers of neurons increase the brain’s ability to process.

4. The popular myth that we use only 10 per cent of our brains has been misinterpreted. Brain scans clearly show that we use most of our brains even when we sleep.

5. Albert Einstein’s brain weighs 1,230 grams, meaning it is 10 per cent smaller than the weight (1,400 grams) of a normal brain. But the neuron density of his brain is above average.

6. The human brain has been shrinking gradually over the past 10,000 to 20,000 years.

7. An average brain is believed to generate about 50,000 thoughts a day. But it is estimated that 70 per cent of these thoughts in most people are negative.

8. Brain cells are different from each other. There are 10,000 specific neurons types in the brain.

9. Your brain generates about 12–25 watts of electricity, which means enough power to light a light bulb.

10. The human brain is not as perfect as thought, as in many cases it deceives people and causes people to perceive things differently from the truth.

As a result, the human brain is an incredible organ that requires the utmost care to maintain vital bodily functions.
