10 Questions to Help Unblock the Flow of Wealth
Many of us have a distorted relationship with money. Our beliefs may create an experience of lack and poverty. Others have plenty of income, but can’t keep it — there is always more going out than coming in. Life seems to move too fast and money falls through our fingers.
Why is this? What can we do to heal this relationship and increase abundance in our lives?
Let’s examine the core beliefs that create your experience of money by contemplating the following 10 questions. I recommend you get out a pen and paper. Write down your initial responses to each question and any thoughts that come up. For extra punch, write out each affirmation several times, as well as saying each out loud.
Who are you?
You are not your body or the image in a mirror. You are not your identity — a man, woman, person, truck-driver, teacher, parent, son, daughter. Nor are you a hunk of meaningless flesh, born to die.
You ARE Being, a verb, not a noun. You are Abundant Eternal Life. Life is maximal. There can’t be a ‘drop of life’. There is Life. As you tune into Truth — the Infinite Life that you are — the seemingly ‘external’ world reflects your abundance.
Affirm: I am Abundance. I am Wealth. I am Meaning.
What do you deserve?
Do you understand your own worth? Have you fallen for the trap of believing the distorted ideas about yourself you’ve been fed?
Society seems designed to tell us how insignificant we are. Our upbringing often instills deep beliefs about our own inadequacy.
It’s time to let these delusions go. Embrace the reality of who you are.
You are God’s beloved. You are Divine meaning. Your worth is beyond measure. There is no lack in infinity. You can’t lack, you can only dream of it. Set a high standard. Just as a bird deserves a nest, and a bee deserves pollen, you deserve ease, security, a comfortable home, good food. Affirm this until you KNOW it. Reprogram yourself.
Affirm: I am God’s beloved. I deserve all good things.
What is money?
Money is a symbol of energy exchange. More symbolizes more energy, less symbolizes less. A symbol exists in the ‘imagination’ only. YOUR imagination. Money has no independent existence. You made it. Your ideas about it are it.
Therefore, you are the Source of all money. You control it.
Affirm: I am the source of all money.
What were your first experiences of money as a child?
Your core beliefs are shaped by the decisions and conclusions you made early on. Your first memory of money is likely to be especially meaningful, but all memories are important. Make a list of all experiences regarding money, especially early ones.
What did your parents believe about money? Did they believe it’s shameful to be rich? That the rich are evil? Or did they think they weren’t clever enough to be wealthy? Are you afraid of being richer than your parents? Or maybe your parents are wealthy but shallow and money-obsessed? Are you resisting being like them?
Look deep. Rewrite your own script.
Affirm: My relationship with money is made new in this moment.
Are you willing to receive?
Many cut themselves off from the corrupt system. This is understandable, but we may also cut ourselves off from the flow of money. Money is neither good nor evil, but a neutral tool. It’s what you say it is. It’s thought energy.
To receive money, you must be willing to receive ALL of life. If you cut off part of the All, you block receiving.This includes ideas, inspiration, experiences, and change. Open crown and heart. Increase receiving. Release energetic restrictions and judgements.
Also, open up real world channels — Paypal, crypto wallet, bank accounts etc. Make it easy for the universe to give you money on all levels.
Affirm: I receive all of life with ease, peace, and joy.
Are you willing to change your identity?
It may be difficult to change your identity to ‘wealthy’. Your tribe, family, and self-image may be tied to the identity of a poor person. You may even see yourself as a hero, or pious, for your financial struggle. Are you afraid of being greedy, or seeing yourself as ‘filthy rich’? Are you worried about explaining your new wealthy status to others around you?
Affirm: I am a wealthy person. I am a millionaire. I am a rich person. I am a prosperous person. I am a well-off person.
Are you asking the right questions?
The mistake is asking, “How can I GET more money?”
The questions to ask are:
“How can I give value?”
“What do people need?”
“How can I help?”
When we give, rather than take, this flow generates and circulates wealth.
Write a list of all your skills, talents, ideas, & abilities. Ask who may benefit.
Affirm: As I freely give, so do I freely receive.
Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone?
Are you willing to hustle? Work hard? Don’t be obnoxious, but do be brave! Offer to help. Swallow pride or shyness and extend yourself. Business owners are often desperate for help. They love to reward go-getters. Everyone wants more time. How can you be of service, decrease their burden? How can you offer more time?
Ask to see a new opportunity daily. What can you sell, make, do? How can you be helpful? Take initiative. Get on LinkedIn, write to 100 business offering admin or digital marketing, or 100 writers offering proofreading or research. Bi-lingual? Approach businesses directly whose websites are only in one language and offer to translate the whole thing.
Money comes via people. Make contact with people.
Sell things for others for a cut, i.e. on eBay. Many people with big houses need help. Make it part of a decluttering, or moving service and you might build an empire. If you offer healing or metaphysical services, consider offering donation based treatments to get the ball rolling. Look at what others are doing. There is always an abundance of excellent ideas out there.
Ask, ‘What is one thing I can do today to help others?’
Continuously improve your skills and knowledge. You are your greatest asset. Invest in yourself. There are so many free resources. You can learn almost anything from the Internet. Work for free to get training and information. Get the word out about your goods or services by volunteering. Be open to barter and exchanges.
Affirm: As I expand, I see wealth-generating opportunities everywhere.
Do you know what to do with money when you have it?
Once you have financial flow, ground it and balance. Write down inflows and outflows. Be mindful. Be willing to simply ‘have’ money, letting it rest in your account. Spend less than you make. Grow a buffer. YNAB or Kakeibo are helpful. Simplicity, not austerity. Both over and under-spending come from a place of lack. Hoarding money, holding on too tightly, also blocks the flow.
Learn and read about money. Understand assets, liabilities, investments, savings, diversification, etc. Avoid lending or borrowing. Study happy, wealthy people. Many are keen to share their wisdom. They’d like to teach you to fish, even if they don’t want to just give you a fish. Ask them for advice, direction, guidance.
Do you understand scalability and passive income? Move on from selling your own time as soon as you can. You can valet one car, or you could sell a thousand car valet kits. You can walk dogs, or you could make viral dog videos.
Buy low, sell high. Buy quantity & repackage smaller. Add value with branding.
Affirm: I am a steady, knowledgeable, and wise conduit for money.
What is wealth?
Money isn’t wealth, it’s a creative tool. Be wealthy and creative now, even if you have no money. If you have air to breathe, water to drink, a sky to see, a sun to feel, say thank you. Do you have use of a computer or a phone to read this article? Say thank you. Are you able to read? You’re rich!
Do you have love in your heart? Then you can’t be any wealthier than you are.
See ‘lack’ as the abundance it is. Be grateful for the creative expansion and lessons the ‘need’ to generate money brings. Gratitude is a powerful energy amplifier. Be grateful for all, including having less money than you might like. Find the hidden lesson, or knowledge, to be thankful for.
Your experience of lack of money brought you to a deeper understanding of your Self. It taught you more about yourself — what you are capable of, what you can endure, how you can adapt and innovate. It led you to this moment where you are now willing to grow and move into an experience of plenty of money.

Conclusion
One day, you may pay a relative’s hospital bills, a pet’s life-saving surgery, or put a homeless person up in a hotel. Your kids may grow up in a wholesome place and have things you never had. Perhaps you’ll pay for someone’s plane ticket, just because you can.
There are so many good things we can do with money.
