10 ChatGPT Favourites - to Watch out for

Even using these AI staples innocently can have eyebrows raising

(Please read the concise edit, as it contains the word that inspired this second ChatGPT list… but somehow I forgot it. Props Ammara Hassan)

Let’s put this out there sooner rather than later.

ChatGPT is not the Devil. In the same way that the world is not a wrong place, it’s the people in it that do the shitty things which are the problem; it’s people abusing ChatGPT or plain old AI as we’ll call it from now CGPT just being a brand… in fact:

It’s only these last few months I’ve familiarised myself with AI and ChatGPT, so I’ll type this paragraph for the uninitiated; if you’re familiar with the basics already, please scroll down for the ten eye-opening words and phrases that the bots have been using to pull the wool over our eyes.

Even If you’re new to this world, you’ll still no doubt have heard about how AI is being used for nefarious purposes, and that along with AI come a set of bots with names such as ChatGPT, amongst others.

People are so rightly upset about AI and everything that comes with it because, in our blogging world, people have articles written in a fraction of a second and pass them off as their work.

I should have explained that AI has extraordinary capabilities and could rewrite a comedy version of the Iliad in less than five seconds if you asked it to.

So now you know the power we are dealing with, here is the number one thing you need to know to differentiate between the product and the many brands: as always, do your research (DYOR). AI is the product, much like, for example, if we were talking about sneakers as a product, we’d be mentioning brands such as Adidas and Nike. With that being said, when speaking about AI, the brands that are pertinent to us as bloggers are ChatGPT, Google Bard (clever name, and watch that clean up over the next few years), and You Chat, plus many more, which is why we always say DYOR

Okay, for both those of you who skipped straight here and those who read along, thank you, and here are the ten, now more than ever, super popular words and phrases adored by AI and its plagiarising army of bots.

  1. Navigating the landscape
  2. A comprehensive guide
  3. Unveiling the power of…
  4. Let’s dive in…
  5. A deep dive (these bots must hang around many pools, and I thought water and electricity didn’t mix well… careful you don’t slip there Metal Micky…)
  6. Decoding
  7. Unleashing
  8. Leveraging
  9. Unfiltered
  10. Exposed… which I think is a pretty fitting word to end the list on

The reason I didn’t give any little bits of fluff and filler alongside each one is, first, because I said enough to begin with and second. After all, I want you to see each word and phrase and let them sink in. I promise you, if any of your favorite authors are overusing them, you will start to notice, and of course, if they’re overusing standard Bot language… Well, I’ll let you judge that.

Until then, happy writing!

The word kept appearing repeatedly to the point that it’s now commonplace to make jokes about bots and ‘the rich tapestry’ of whatever was tapestry, so here it is at number 11. Tapestry.

Again, Ammara Hassan, thank you for reminding me!
