That’s why these old media giants have also come to take the advantages YouTube provides by creating their own channels on the platform to reach a much wider audience on an even lower budget.
YouTube has taken overbrilliantly- combining entertainment and education on a single platform has been the bedrock of its success. It’s like a hub of videos, varieties that covers every area of audio-visual content. It has created the biggest opportunity that the previous TV giants did not. Giving opportunities to professionals and regular folks alike, to be able to create contents and enrich the lives of consumers. And it is some of these immensely valuable contents creators we will be looking at in this article.
So here are my lists of some of the most powerful YouTube channels that have grown my wealth of knowledge immensely.

Other Frequent contributors include Michio Kaku & Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Since 2006 BigThink has garnered over 300M views spanning across over nearly 9000 videos.

An entrepreneur channel created by Serial Entrepreneur, Patrick Bet-David. Valuetainment is referred to as the best channel for entrepreneurs with weekly How To’s, Motivation and interviews with unique individuals. Personally, this is one of my favourite YouTuber and channel. He does everything from politics to economy, personal growth to leadership, rules of engagement to marketing strategies and core life values for an effective lifestyle. If you are someone who enjoys watching interviews of the rarest people on the planet, then Valuetainment is the place for you. There are interviews ranging from Jordan B Peterson to Kevin Hart, from Kobe Bryant to the notorious drug lord- Sammy the bull. Patrick is an incredible and highly curious guy, just as you will come to see in his content.
4. Biographics
Biographics publishes three videos every week, providing biographic profiles of the men and women who — for better or for worse — helped write the pages of human history. Originally co-founded by Simon Whistler and Shell Harris. You will find these contents and information breathtaking and intensely informative. Whistler as the narrator does a very good job in presenting his content with top quality that will leave you glued to your seat.
5. Crash Course
The Crash Course team has produced more than 32 courses on a wide variety of subjects, including organic chemistry, literature, world history, biology, philosophy, theatre, ecology, and many more! At Crash Course, they believe that high-quality educational videos should be available to everyone for free! Are you always too busy to take classes or read a large volume of books on any particular subject, and just want a quick way to absorb ideas and gain knowledge? Well then, Crash Course is for you.
6. Soft White Underbelly
Soft White Underbelly interviews and portraits of the human condition by photographer, Mark Laita. While this may not be the academical-textbook or classroom kinda educational material, I find it quite intriguing. The channel seeks to educate people of the struggles on the other side of life. It opens up the world which we know exists, but are too busy to pay attention to. The channel is filled with interviews and stories of prostitutes, drug addicts, sex addicts, sex offenders, pimps, inbred families and many more. If you are curious like me and would be interested in having a deeper and wider sense of the world you live in, then definitely check it out.

Dr Peterson is an author, professor, and clinical psychologist, whose core message is to help people transform their life by taking personal responsibility for themselves as well as their immediate environment, hence his famous quote- to be successful start by cleaning up your room. He is a phenomenon and has been an inspiration to me and I have no doubt that there is so much you can gain from this timeless YouTube channel.

The Ted platform needs no introduction since its been the number one leading platform for educational and life-changing contents for decades now. The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). Look for talks on Technology, Entertainment and Design — plus science, business, global issues, the arts and more.
