#1 Thing Holds 99% of People Back…

Today I’d like to share with you my thought on the gaze of others.

In my opinion, others are often what slows us down.

Others are often what scares us, what makes us doubt.

However, there is this sentence that we all know and that I love.

“Alone, we go faster. With others, we go farther.”

And it’s true, as long as you surround yourself with the right people.

When I was younger, I often wondered what people thought of me.

And that influenced my feelings and behaviour a lot.

Frankly, it’s not easy because everyone wants to be appreciated, everyone wants to be loved by others.

But sometimes, by trying too hard to fit into the mold, you end up not being yourself anymore.

And that’s a shame because we are all different.

And I really think that the gaze of others makes people shy, scared or develop anxiety.

Especially since our phone has become our third arm.

Nowadays, one of the social factors is our number of likes or followers.

Of course, this can make you feel competitive, devalued and most of all, you can receive nasty comments.

I think that whatever happens, people will always judge your actions or yourself, whether it is negative or positive.

But, you must be able to detach yourself from what other people think as much as possible.

I know that easier to say than done…

We tend to always remember the bad. I remember when I was a receptionist, I was always remembering nasty clients instead of friendly ones.

The point here is to learn to love yourself, at your true value.

You will see that you can always learn from what others think of you if it is constructive of course.

And that’s also how we improve ourselves. We can evolve because of their different point of view.

In the end, the most important is to set the same, to be you. That’s what’s important.

And above all, don’t be too hard on yourself.

It’s not easy to evaluate ourselves.

You’ll mostly keep in mind the negative points, while there are so many positive points in each person.

Forgive yourself and others will follow. Nobody is perfect, not me, not you. You have the right to make mistakes.

And that’s okay because nobody is perfect.

So you just have to keep that in mind all the time.

And precisely, by knowing your weaknesses, you will be able to improve them, but at the same time be indulgent with yourself.

Do you make the connection between the gaze of others and the fact of daring?

I clearly think that the two are linked and that if we don’t dare, it is often because of this fear of being judged.

In fact, it’s clearly a vicious circle and you have to get out.

I know it’s hard, but before doing something, think about yourself, before thinking about what people might say about it.

To give you a little example, before I started, I was afraid of what people would say, that people who don’t like me would potentially come across this podcast and even my Instagram account and judge me.

Then one day, I woke up with a totally different approach and I asked myself what this project was going to bring to me.

And of course, there were many more positive points than negatives, as you can imagine.

So I went for it and I don’t regret it at all.

If I had stayed stuck in that circle thinking about how others would look at me, I would never have been here today.

I realize that from earlier, I don’t really have any concrete advice to give you because we are all different and in fact, the gaze of others is mostly a mirror and it’s often a war that we fight against ourselves.

Don’t hesitate to read books on personal development, to make lists to weigh the pros and cons, to encourage yourself, to surround yourself with good people.

And above all, the best advice is to dare, to do whatever you want and to always think about yourself.

Thinking about yourself doesn’t mean being selfish. I’m not telling you to step on anyone who gets in your way.

I’m just asking you to think mainly about what it’s going to do for you, how it’s going to make you grow, how you can make yourself useful, etc. And by doing that, you’ll be able to gain confidence.

Of course, I think that self-confidence is not something you should take for granted.

Personally, I’ve gained confidence over the years, but that doesn’t mean I’m confident every day, that I’m not afraid or have doubts.

The main thing is to be able to free myself from the gaze of others.

To end on good vibes, I wanted to tell you not to stop at people’s eyes.

Usually, people who take the time to hate you don’t do much with their lives.

So show them how much you don’t care and how successful you’re going to be because you want to move forward and take action.
