1 Simple Quote That Changed the Way I Make Decisions
How an unexpected message guided me in learning to be less indecisive.

I am an incredibly indecisive person.
I hate making even the smallest decision.
What to eat for dinner? Where to go to meet a friend? You name it. I can’t decide on it.
I realized that I really needed to master this.
In adult life, you have to make lots of choices. And each will impact your life in one way or another.
But that is why I think I get overwhelmed. I don’t know how each decision will end up.
What if I make the wrong one?
A light bulb moment
I was stuck making a decision one day.
Do I stay at home for another week or go back to university? (That was the gist of it anyway, there were many factors at play as to why I had these two choices).
I was scrolling through Instagram, and an account I followed had reposted a quote and it read;

That was a direct message from the universe. I was sure of it. It made so much sense.
I was so worried about what the outcome of each would be when I would never actually be able to know. Only assume.
I didn’t need to get bogged down with the outcome. That was only making me go around in circles.
I had the information right now that I could recall helping me come to a decision.
How it worked out for me
I listened to this guidance, and I called on the information that I had. I stayed home for those few extra days.
And it felt like a good decision. It worked out well.
Granted, I never would have known what the outcome would have been had I decided to go back. But I trusted my gut, and it turned out A-ok.
I wish we could just see the outcome of each decision. It would make the whole thing so much easier.
But we can’t. And so, all we can do is lean on our gut and the information that we have at our immediate disposal.
Sometimes things don’t necessarily turn out the way we want, but that’s life.
The universe is teaching us a lesson with every choice we make. Sometimes things happen a little differently than how you expected them to.
So meditate on it, talk to trusted friends or family and trust your gut.
Choices are just unexpected lessons.
