1 Million Wads of Gum
April Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Graffiti & Street Art”
Germs and saliva immortalized as art!
Amazon flew me in from California — a day before my interview.
Since it was my first time in Seattle, I didn’t want to just stay at the hotel studying for the interview 😅. An Indian meal was the perfect trigger to spend the afternoon “working out” — walking through the streets with my camera.
As I was strolling in the busy downtown, capturing some candid street moments, I had a bitter-sweet anticipation about the famous Gum Wall.
I was scared to enter one of the “germiest” tourist attractions, but at the same time, I was excited and eager to witness this huge colorful mess of an alley!
When I entered, I felt this unnatural calm. How could this mess of chewing gums feel attractive, I thought! I was obviously not going to touch any, but I must admit it was very tempting — just to see if they were real or made up!
I guarantee anyone can get good shots here, because you can never ‘mess’ it up — my camera didn’t have to work hard to get some great pictures 📸.
I didn’t get the job at Amazon, but I treasure my artistic expedition!
✅ This is a must see spot for anyone who is visiting Seattle, Washington.
