1,000 Views in first 30 Days on Medium — My POWERFUL Strategy
The best way to get Viewership for Beginner Writers

On day 27, I crossed 1,000 views on Medium.🎊
I started Medium on November 24, the purpose of this channel is to showcase the possibility of what writers can achieve by consistently writing.
- On day 5, I grew to over 100 followers
- On day 7, get into the Medium Partner Program
- On day 10, made my first dollar!
- On day 15, I made $3
- On day 23, I made $5
Even though I took a 5-day break on Medium traveling around Korea as a digital nomad, my viewership continues as I was able to schedule some posts.
In this article, I want to share how I was able to build a consistent viewership on my content and what I will be doing going forward to grow my Medium.
Schedule Post
To ensure that I always have a consistent amount of content being published, I always schedule at least 3 days' worth of posts. That way, my reader will always be able to stay updated on upcoming content that I publish.
Social Media Funnel
I have a total of 4 different social media funnels which took me quite a while to build. They are LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. These social media funnels allow me to engage a larger audience and the most powerful tool is REDIRECTING TRAFFIC.
I can ask followers to follow my other pages to support and look out for content that is exclusive to particular social media pages. That way, that are more incentives to follow all my other pages.
Title Checker
The title is the first thing reader look at before deciding whether to read or not. In order to get the best title, I use a free tool called Headline Analyzer which ranks titles based on readability, SEO, and sentiment.
Get to the Point
Readers on Medium typically don’t read content that is more than 5 minutes long. In order to get more readership on your content, writers have to squeeze as much information in under 5 minutes.
Mix it Up
Stop writing content based on only 1 area of expertise. Yes, I may be good at writing personal finance and side hustle(that’s what my business HustleVentureSG is all about!), but having a few added personal stories or other mixes of genres into your writing does help to get your writers to know more about you and feel closer because of that.
Long Term
The problem 99% of Medium writers fail to do is that they give up too soon. On average, it takes about 3 years of professional experience before a writer can transition online and start a full-fledged business. So start grinding early.
