Summary

The website presents a poetry prompt to describe happiness without using the word or its synonyms, accompanied by a photograph and a short poem, and invites specific individuals to respond with their own poetic interpretations.

Abstract

The undefined website features a creative writing challenge titled "POETRY PROMPT: DESCRIBE HAPPINESS WITHOUT SAYING THE WORD OR ANY DERIVATIVE OR SYNONYM THEREOF." The prompt is set against the backdrop of a serene night scene in Salem, NH, at 00:37, and is the second in a series of responses from a multiverse of poetry. A brief poem describes the tranquility of a moonlit night with cumulous clouds against a midnight-blue sky, ending with the arrival of a DoorDash delivery, suggesting a moment of contentment. The prompt is linked to another article titled "Coordi-now" by apsomiadou, which plays with the formation of a verb. The website also directly challenges various individuals, including Esther George, Brenda Abigail, MSc, and others, to contribute their unique perspectives on happiness through poetry, hinting at the diverse interpretations that can emerge from a single prompt. An image of a night sky, reflective of the view from the author's window, is featured, though another image was chosen for its divine qualities.

Opinions

  • The author finds beauty and inspiration in the simple act of observing the night sky, as evidenced by the featured image and the poem.
  • The mention of DoorDash delivery suggests a modern-day, everyday source of joy or satisfaction.
  • The invitation to a diverse group of individuals to respond to the prompt implies a belief in the universality of poetry as a means of expression and the value of multiple perspectives in art.
  • The choice of the featured image over another reflects the author's personal taste and the subjective nature of what is considered "divine" or inspiring.
  • The reference to the poem "Coordi-now" indicates an appreciation for linguistic experimentation and the malleability of language in poetry.
