“Das ist mir Wurst!”
We affectionately refer to Germany as “Land of sausage”. It is kind of true — the Germans love their sausage so much that many idioms/proverbs are related to sausage.
德國人實在有多喜歡香腸啦！？作為〈香腸之國〉德國真的實至名歸。德國人為他們的香腸自豪，甚至連許多成語/諺語都與香腸有關 -_-。

1) Das ist mir Wurst!
Literally: This means sausage to me! Actual meaning: It doesn’t matter to me/I don’t care!/what do I care?
This expression is often said/heard by the Germans, it means that the person doesn’t care or is indifferent to what is said. Personally I found it very rude but the person saying this didn’t mean to be offensive. It’s just their offensive nature lol.
字面意思：這對我來說這即是香腸！ 實際含義：對我來說無所謂/我不在乎/對我來說沒有分別（香港人粵語可能會說成：『關我腸事？』XD）
德文裡很常見的短句，代表講者對事情不在乎或對表明他對一些該關心的事件漠不關心。我個人覺得這很沒禮貌，但說這句話的人並不一定出於惡意。這只是德國人典性的不友善攻擊性回話 XD。
2) Alles hat ein Ende, nur die Wurst hat zwei
Literally: Everything has one end, only the sausage has two Actual meaning: There’s an end/result for everything
All good things come to an end. But here with the sausage indeed has two ends, stands for a second chance. It’s up to you to make the most of it. But I feel that it is usually used to point out bad things, so in a way it serves to lighten up the conversation.
字面意思：凡事皆一個尾端（ein Ende），除了香腸有兩端（zwei Enden） 實際含義：一切事物都有終點/結果/會完結
凡事皆有盡頭。但這裡的香腸確實有兩端，也代表著第二次機會/第二個結果。充分利用它取決於你的態度（之類啦） 但我覺得它通常被用來指出不好的事情，即是說衰事也會有終結的一天。所以在某種程度上它有助於減輕談話內容的壓迫感。
3) Jetzt geht’s um die Wurst!
Literally: Now it’s about the sausage! Actual meaning: now it is getting serious/it is now or never
This phrase is used when there is some kind of competition or similar situations, that is is all about making an effort to get what you want to achieve. It links to the history of the country fairs where people would participate in games, the prize would often be a sausage.
字面意思：現在是關於香腸的 實際含義：現在是重要時刻/不是現在就錯過機會
在比賽或類似場合/情況時使用此短語，你要努力獲得您想要實現的目標。 典故是出於人們參加遊戲的鄉村集市的歷史，因為那時的獎品通常是一根香腸。
4) Im Ausland ein Fürstchen, zu Hause ein Würstchen
Literally: A prince abroad, a sausage at home Actual meaning: Some people are abroad and automatically a “professional expatiate” / living like royalty who are respected, but in reality they are just a nobody at home
字面意思：在國外是王子，在家是香腸 實際含義：一些人到了外國就自動成為受人尊敬的「專業外籍人士」/像貴族一樣生活，在自己國家裡卻只是一名平平無奇之輩
5)Mit der Wurst nach dem Schinken werfen
Literally: Toss the sausage after the bacon Actual meaning: A small expenditure made/ a small risk taken, in the hope of a large or significant gain.
It referred to the fact that bacon is more valuable than sausages, so to say it means you are investing or sacrificing something of lesser value in order to get something of greater value. The English saying would be “to throw a sprat to catch a mackerel”.
字面意思：為了煙肉拋出香腸（煙肉＝台灣中文的「培根」） 實際含義：為了獲得大的或顯著的收益而付出的小額支出/承擔的小風險。
以煙肉比香腸貴的事實，來比喻投資或犧牲價值較低的物品以獲得更大價值的回報。英文有個類似的諺語是“throw a sprat to catch a mackerel”（用鯡魚釣鯖魚）。

Literally: Toss the bacon after the sausage The opposite meaning of the above, that said to downgrade or give up an advantage.

7) Die beleidigte Leberwurst spielen
Literally: Playing the offended liver sausage Actual meaning: To act all offended/To be the drama king/queen/refers to people who are easily offended
Playing the “offended liver sausage” is a proverbial German idiom used to mock a person who is offended or sulking, or that their disposition isn’t being taken seriously. It is usually assumed that the person described in this way has no reason for being offended.
字面意思：扮演被冒犯的肝腸 實際含義：裝成被冒犯/當戲王/指容易被冒犯的人
扮演「被冒犯的肝腸」是一個眾所周知的德語成語，用來嘲笑一個被冒犯或生悶氣的人，或者他們的性格沒有被認真對待。通常假定以這種方式描述的人沒有被冒犯的理由。
8) Eine Extrawurst kriegen
Literally: to have an extra sausage Actual meaning: to receive a special treat
If you have two sausages on your plate while the others have only one, you have an extra sausage (Extrawurst). It can be anything in excess of what the others get, like you get off work while your colleagues work overtime, or an free upgrade to a sea view hotel room while your friends get a side street view room.
字面意思：多得到一根香腸 實際含義：受到特殊待遇/優惠
如果你的碟上有兩條香腸而其他人只有一條，那麼你就是得到了一條「額外的香腸」(Extrawurst）；意味著任何比其他人得到的東西多些。又例如你工作完成下班而你的同事卻要加班；或者你被免費升級到有海景酒店的房間，而你的朋友只被分配到後街景觀的房間。
9) Du armes Würstchen
Literally: You poor little sausage Actual meaning: You poor thing
It is often used half seriously to show compassion for someone in a difficult but not dangerous situation. You might say this to an upset toddler who has been crying because he can’t have his chocolate.
字面意思：你這可憐的小香腸 實際含義：好可憐喔~ （香港人：慘慘豬？）
它經常被半認真地用來表示對處於困難但不危險情況下的人的同情。 你可能會對一個因為吃不到甜食而哭的小孩說這句話。
10) Sich die Wurst vom Brot nehmen lassen
Literally: Have the sausage taken off the bread. Actual meaning: You were taken advantage of. 字面意思：把香腸從麵包上拿走。 實際含義：你被利人佔便宜了/你被人利用了。
